Welcome to Cumnock – a lovely historic market town full of character & charm situated around 15 miles east of Ayr & 16 miles from Kilmarnock within the beautiful region of East Ayrshire.  The town can trace its history back to the early 1600s and has a rich industrial past mainly centred around coal mining, iron stone and in more recent years manufacturing.

Cumnock is the second largest town in East Ayrshire and offers a great range of facilities, attractions & activities for locals & visitors alike – wander through the town where you can spend local in a number of small friendly independent shops while taking in the Victorian style architecture & historical monuments, visit the Baird Institute where you can learn more of the town’s history & heritage or visit the stunning Dumfries House that lies just outside of Cumnock – whatever you do if you’re passing through, stop and stay for a while and enjoy ‘What’s on’ offer in Cumnock!
